Lake View High School Mariachi to Play Alongside Juilliard Trained Pianist in Concert on Friday, October 7

This Friday, October 7, 2022, Lake View High School Mariachi Los Caciques will host a free concert at the LVHS Auditorium starting at 6:30pm. During this concert, Mariachi Los Caciques will have the unique and exciting opportunity to play alongside Juilliard trained Pianist Dr. Christopher Schmitt. 

Dr. Schmitt is a classical concert pianist, teacher and chamber musician living in Washington DC. He holds a Doctorate in Piano Performance from The Juilliard School, and performs regularly in small ensembles at the White House and DC metropolitan area. 

In addition to performing alongside LVHS Mariachi, Dr. Schmitt will spend two days with SAISD students hosting music seminars, concerts and rehearsals. During his time at SAISD, LVHS and CHS orchestra students will participate in a music seminar which will include a question and answer segment, one-on-one musical instruction and constructive guidance. A private concert will be held for SAISD 5th grade students who will attend Lake View as high school students.
